You laid there
With your back against the mattress
Up against the wall.
The weight in your atmosphere
Almost as in less is more.
Weightless, but you don’t weigh less
With all the weight in the world
Screaming back at you.
To suffocate within your own
Guilty conscious filled of self pitty
Would be painless if you could go,
And come up with just a few more
Excuses to suffocate the blow.
I thought you would tread lightly,
This time only harder than the last.
Don’t get me wrong,
You were only slightly
To relapse back.
Slip back into the mindful observation
That you are clearly just an ass.
